The wayOUT LGBT Foundation ("wayOUT," "we") is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3). This page explains what we collect on wayout.lgbt, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Newsletter sign-ups. If you join our list, we keep your email address so we can send you news about Gaylas, the youth organizations we fund and ways to help. The list is run on Mailchimp.
- Donations. Gifts are processed by Give Lively. They collect what's needed to process your gift and send your tax receipt, and share your name, contact details and gift with us so we can thank you and keep proper records. We never see or store your card number.
- Event tickets. Some events sell tickets through other platforms, such as Auctria. Their privacy policies apply when you buy there.
- Emails you send us. If you write to us, we keep your message so we can answer it.
What we don't do
- We don't sell, rent or trade your information.
- We don't run advertising trackers on this site.
- We don't ask young people to share personal information here. This site is for adults who want to support LGBTQ+ youth organizations.
Services that help run the site
Our host and a few services, including Google Fonts, Give Lively and Mailchimp, may record basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type when your browser loads their content. They use it to deliver and secure their services, under their own privacy policies.
Your choices
- Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
- To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email hello@wayout.lgbt and we'll take care of it.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
